Hey there! Welcome to tofu turtle, my personal website where I dump basically everything I’ve ever done for public consumption. (Mind the dust as I revive this website from its slumber.)
I presented a talk on queer Black jazz musicians for a virtual DJ night hosted by The Breakaway on June 23, 2020. This PowerPoint was created after the fact because I felt awkward that I was the only presenter without a PowerPoint prepared and to disseminate these short biographies to people who couldn’t make the event.

David Peterson, a conlanger who’s most well-known for creating Dothraki and Valyrian for HBO’s Game of Thrones, taught an elective class on conlanging for the linguistics department at UC Berkeley one summer. This was my final project, with some additions/corrections I did while preparing it for the web.
(I used 招き猫 for the cover image because the alternate working title of this post was “How Being a Cheapskate Finally Dragged My Website Out of 2015” and the juxtaposition made me laugh.)
